Azerbaijan is a secular country with a predominantly Muslim population, where the majority of the people adhere to Shia Islam. The country’s constitution ensures freedom of religion, including Christianity are practiced by smaller communities. Despite the secular government’s commitment to religious freedom, the role of Islam remains deeply embedded in the cultural and social fabric of Azerbaijan. 

 

Turkey is a Muslim country, with Islam playing a central role in the lives of its citizens. Approximately 99% of the population adheres to Islam, with the vast majority being Sunni Muslims. Despite the overwhelming Muslim majority, Turkey is home to diverse religious groups. In recent years, Turkey has faced challenges regarding religious freedom and the role of religion in public life. 

Iran has a population where almost half of Iranians are Turkic speaking.  Predominately, a Muslim country, Christians have to live out their faith undercover and experience severe perscution.

Central Asia includes five different countries where Islam is the predominant faith.  It varies how open each country is to Christianity, but social exclusion and persecution reguarly occurs.

UK has a Christian majority, but is a very diverse culture with many other religions and secularlarism.  

Europe with a large shifting population incoming from Asia and Africa along with others moving out of Europe, the culture is very mixed.
